Update on Ipsy/MyGlam Products

These are the mini-reviews and updates I have on the products that I have received in my Ipsy/MyGlam bag over the past few months. I've had a chance to try out most of these products so I can give you a better idea on how I feel about them!

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts on any of these products. Or how you liked your own products that you've received!

September 2013

NYX Eyeshadow - While I like these shadows, I did not like the color, especially for the season, and have not touched it.

Eh, did not really like this mascara. Thought it was clumpy. But it stayed on pretty well. Keep it in my bag for emergencies.

Nothing special. It is a kohl eyeliner. It may have even irritated my eyes some. I can't remember. Keep it in my purse/bag for emergencies.

Have not touched. I hate getting shampoo/conditioner samples. And was even more pissed that they included these are two separate items.

November 2013

I use this almost everyday. I'm fair enough that it adds just enough color during the winter months to make me look not like a zombie. I use it wear I would contour and it is just enough for everyday and work. I would contemplate purchasing the full size if it wasn't shimmery. I think the color is perfect for me (maybe not during the summer though).

Is it worth the price? - $18. Hmmm...this one is a bit harder for me. I have to find another bronzer in this color. Or a bronzer that I can put on as a contour so effortlessly and still have it look good and add dimension, but be a "barely there" color. I can see myself purchasing this, but after I see if there is a better alternative. I have to be careful with how I spend my money. But I wouldn't have buyers remorse if there was no cheaper alternative.
[Update: 2/27/14] I have used this as my daily contour/bronzer for work. It is subtle enough that you can barely tell it's there, but it's enough that I don't look flat. I still doubt it will be dark enough for Summer but for right now it is perfect. And I probably would purchase the full size.

I used this for the first time the other weekend. I forgot it was actually darker than I thought. More on the gun metal side than silver. It doesn't leave any funky streaks that metallic and silvers can sometimes use. I think it held up pretty well. I may have picked it off before I saw any real wear.

Is it worth the price? - It retails at $13. I do not know what shipping would be. I don't think it's quite that good. But I would have to wear it again to really see the wear. Zoya is $9 and one of my favorite formulas. And I rarely ever pay more than that for a polish. But it is one of the best silvers I have used.

I had my review of this on the original post. I do really like it. It ended up being more shimmery or glittery than I originally thought. But I still like it. Just need a balm underneath.

Is it worth the price? It retails at $14 and I do not know what shipping is. I think with this style (lip crayon) becoming so popular and the drugstore ones being so good, I don't see myself purchasing this over a drugstore one.

Have not touched this. It is such an odd color I have had no use for it.  Maybe come spring. But the wear is probably like the kohl eyeliner and don't think it will hold up well. Maybe if I set it with a shadow. [Update] I used this the other day as an inner corner highlight with a light purple liner. New favorite look. Got compliments. I'll do a FOTD with this look. Perfect for spring since they are the Color of the Year (reason why I am keeping this liner). But it didn't even last threw work, and it is SUPER sparkly. Wished it wouldn't smudge and wear off. It is pretty.

Is it worth the price?  - No. This retails at $12, and I do not believe it to be worth the price. I can get better eyeliners including Pixel or Essence or even Wet 'n Wild for cheaper and for what I think is a better value.

Have not had the use for these yet. I rarely wear false lashes. At least I got the more natural version of these. I'll find a use at some point.

Em Waterline Intense Color Eyeliner - My full feelings on this are on the entry but this is what I wrote: "I have mixed feelings about this liner. I have used it once. I did use it on my waterline. It took ALOT of work to get it to show up. It didn't just glide right on. There would have been little color and not worth it to use if I just did one or two swipes across. Even swatching, it barely shows up with little pressure. If I am putting something on my waterline I don't want to have to use pressure to get it to show up.
The color itself when you use it is a good color. I'd prefer something darker but it's at least a neutral shade. When you swatch it full color and it dries it's almost a taupe color. There's like itty bitty gold shimmer pieces in it and it dries almost a touch brown. I do like the color. Just prefer it go on more pigmented and smoother.Lasting power? I wore it for two hours to Target and when I got home the outer corners of my waterline has disappeared. The rest was kind of there and I think it smudged down a little into my lashes. I mean, the swatch on my hand isn't coming off when I rub it. Maybe a teeny bit of color but other than that it's not going anywhere. If you really work on it you can get some to come off. I have to test it with water. I think the formula is just too dry for me."

Is it worth the price? - Full size retails at $20. My opinion is a big No. And my opinion on the products shows why I do not believe it to be worth the price.
