#JollyVoxBox from Influenster

I literally just received my #JollyVoxBox in the mail. I had enough time to open it and see what products were sent to me to review. And let me just tell you that I am SO EXCITED to have gotten some of these things. There are a few items that I have been dying to try and some that I know I already love but am excited to have more.

I love makeup so I am going to talk about those items first:

NYC New York Color HD Eyeshadow Trio

I'll get some swatches with primer. They do show and perform better with primer. The colors I received create a nice neutral eye look. It's going to be a barely there type of look as none of these colors are dark. It's great for day time and especially for work. I am going to recreate the look I have used to go to work and then post it on here as well. You do have to keep in mind that all of these colors are shimmery. And if you like a matte color in your crease or as a highlight or blending color, you're going to need to add in another color. Or if you want to darken it up for nighttime as well.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer - Aurora

I received the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in the color Aurora. These are the claims that are on Rimmel's website:

"It's the End of Colour as you know it! 

The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine.

It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both! 

LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!"

I will say it definitely as the color of a lipstick. It is very opaque and you only need a little bit. It also stays pretty shiny like a gloss, but it's not overly shiny. In my opinion it's not sticky at all. It's very smooth on the lips. And it didn't seem to settle into any fine lines or dry spots. I'm going to try again since my lips are pretty chapped at the moment with all the temperature changes we've been having.

 

This swatch is pretty true to life for the color. Especially the tube.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only thing I don't like is that it transfers to everything. In my mind when I think of lacquer I think of something hard and shiny. Something that is going to stay put, but remain glossy. I honestly thought it'd be like a glossy OCC Lip Tar, or more like the lacquer type gloss/lipsticks that Loreal put out last year. That once they set they don't move. That's what I was really hoping for.

It's slightly less red in real life and slightly more pink.

I don't normally wear lip colors. I do like glosses, but they tend to be more natural colors or more sheer. Sometimes I wear lipsticks. But since I'm not used to wearing them, this one ends up smudging. And it's a little bit too bold for my taste right now, and this is one of the less bold colors they are selling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It ends up being slightly bolder and more colorful than what you see in the tube. Or I should say vibrant. The color remains the same, but the vibrancy I think is enhanced with your own lip color as well as the shine. Those are things that don't come into play when it's just in the tube. 


















I wish I had pictures of the Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates. But they are gone! Haha. I think I ate one a day until they were gone! They are only 130 calories for a package of 3 chocolates. And the box contains 6 packages. I received the peanut butter ones and you would think they were like a Reeses. The peanut butter is slightly different, thinner almost. But it still tastes really good! I will totally buy them again!

I also received the travel package of Puffs tissues which I know I already like. I just don't tend to use them or bring them with me just because I forget about them. And if I do remember to bring them, I forget I have them. There's usually always a box of tissues in the car, around the house or at work. These are the ones that have the lotion in them.

There's also the Mini Ducklings roll of DuckTape in a fuchsia Zebra print. It is so adorable! I don't know what to use it for! I think I am going to use it on an older box from a subscription service to decorate it and use it to hold makeup or brushes when traveling.
